For many years the heads of department at alpha beta piccadilly, together with an international team of experts and partners, have been involved in research and development in the fields of language learning and interculturalism.

Learning partnership

Within the framework of the Grundtvig Learning Partnership
alpha beta piccadilly offers literacy and language instruction to immigrants.

Adult literacy

Literacy testing and publication of teaching materials for literacy classes at beginner level (Italian).

Learning Support

Planning and implementation of a concrete development project with a focus on "education and organization" in collaboration with the Department of Further Education.

Planning and implementation of a concrete development project with a focus on "education and organization" in collaboration with the Department of Further Education.

Language skills and the world of work

Language skills and research work in cooperation with the AFI-IPL and the Institute for Social Research and Demonstration copy APOLLIS on the topic: "The importance of language skills: implications for the situation of workers and the competitiveness of South Tyrolean firms"

South Tyrolean dialect

Devlopment and implementation of didactic material with the aim of introducing those interested to the variety of spoken German used in South Tyrol and to local culture via a self-study course using authentic listenings.

eTandem

Development of materials together with an advisory model to complement what is already available to those involved in the autonomous “face-to-face” Tandem.

Bilingual examination level D

Devlopment and trialling of material preparing candiadtes for the South Tyrolean bilingual examination Level D. This material gives students, who already have a basic knowledge of German, the opportunity to consolidate and improve upon that knowledge and give themselves a solid basis for passing the exam.
