Self Access Centre


The Self Access Centre at alpha beta piccadilly in Bolzano / Bozen offers the opportunity to study with the advice of a tutor, possibly (but not necessarily) as a complement to a language course. The centre is equipped with modern facilities and a wide range of multimedia teaching materials.

English, German, Italian, Ladin, Spanish, French and Russian

What is in the Self Access Centre?

  • 6 desks and a reading corner
  • 2 multimedia PCs with Internet connection and the possibility of working with CD-ROM and DVD
  • TV with VCR and headphones
  • 4 CD/cassette players with headphones
  • Teaching materials: language courses, grammar books, graded worksheets for the different levels and different skills, audio cassettes, CDs, CD-ROMs, Dictionaries - paper versions and on CD-ROM
  • Materials for specialised language practice
  • Original language films on video and DVD
  • Cassettes with songs
  • Fiction, newspapers and magazines
  • "Tandem pathway" on the Internet with the assistance of a tutor to learn what Tandem can provide for language learning via the internet

Loan service

Novels, videos and DVDs in different languages can be borrowed from the Self Access Centre (click here to see a list of DVDs available). All other materials are only for consultation.

Morning:
Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 10.30 to 11.30
Afternoon:
Monday to Thursday from 16.30 to 20.00
