Tandem
A language can best be practised with someone whose first language it is, that is the basic idea behind Tandem. Tandem brings together two speakers of different languages who wish to learn or practice the language of the other. They meet regularly to talk together, first in one language and then in the other, doing exercises together and generally helping each other to learn the target language.

alpha beta piccadilly provides support and counselling for this learning process. Our Tandem advisors not only find you a suitable Tandem partner, they also accompany the pair giving them advice and guidance to help with planning their meetings and smoothing their path. The Tandem-pair commit themselves to following the basic rules of language learning in Tandem and formulate a teaching-learning contract which allows them the flexibility to adapt content and times to their own needs and interests. Requirements: Minimum age of 16 years old and a basic knowledge of the target language.
