English Trekking Weeks

Prerequisites:
Minimum age:18

What is a trekking week?

A week spent in the mountains with an English teacher who knows the area well (but is not a mountain guide) and who will organise games/activities in the evenings and of course correct language mistakes. The walk is organised together, with each person taking an active part in the organisation and the participants have to
agree to use only English during the whole week.

When and where do the trekking weeks take place?

In 2012 the two trekking weeks are as follows:
  • English Trekking week 1: the E5 from Verona to Valsugana 23 - 30 June
  • English Trekking week 2: Swiss Swiss National Park 1 - 7 July
See information sheet for further details
English Trekking week 1
English Trekking week 2

Who are the trekking weeks for?

discover some little-known mountain ranges while speaking
English all the time. Participants should be reasonably-fit

least a B 1 level of English. No climbing experience is necessary. There will be 8-10 participants (aged from 18 to 80!).

What equipment do I need?

Good walking boots, clothing for high alpine walks (+ waterproofs), and basic food.

How much do they cost?

The cost is € 170 and covers linguistic accompaniment by the teacher.
Not included: accommodation, food and transport - see
information sheets for further details.
